With two cars we all went to the end of the world on Saturday. In Europe this is a long drive while in Canada it takes about the same time as going downtown in rush-hour. I will also show you pictures of Fortaleza de Sagres.
Fortaleza de Sagres was built in the 15th century and is where Henry the Navigator did some of his work. Much of the original fort was destroyed in the 1755 earthquake and the resulting tidal wave that rose higher than the giant cliffs.
The day was great with lots of sun light and no wind. Following our visit we went to Lagos for lunch.
I have made a video which I will publish tomorrow. It is long, but remember you can speed up a YouTube video. If you do you will have to turn the music off.
In the distance you can see the light house on Cape St. Vincent |
